Get rid of the dates on the symbols

Answer:

Hide the date for all symbols of a certain type

1.  In the Toolbox, double-click the symbol you are using.  
2. Click the Text/Date Position tab.  
3. For Date Placement, choose Hide.

Hide the date for a single symbol on the schedule

1. Click once on the symbol on the schedule.  The toolbar changes to Current Object: Symbol.
2. In the Date Placement section, for Vertical choose Hide.  

Hide all symbol dates on the schedule (global setting)

1. Choose View | Other | Override Symbol Text and Date Display. 
2. Under Dates, choose  Hide all symbol dates.
