Freeform text doesn't stay in place

Question:

My free-form text moves on my document when I print it, and I can't figure out how to stop it from moving.

The Freeform Text Box seems to be floating with different zoom levels. I want the text box aligned to the outer frame but it shifts depending on the zoom level and sometimes goes past the edge.

Answer:

Use the box tool

We recommend using the Box tool for the background, and then putting transparent Freeform text on top. The freeform text background will move based on font size (which slightly changes when the schedule is zoomed in or out).  I've attached an example schedule showing the two options, with the box tool background on the bottom. The box tool might slightly adjust based on zoom levels, but it should move way less than the Freeform text background. I would double check your PowerPoint output (or however you're saving it) to make sure it looks good in that format.  Look at it in the 100% view to get the best idea what it will look like when a PDF is generated or when it is sent to PowerPoint.
