ALT + CTRL + Arrow keys not working

Question:

I am trying to re-position symbol dates with the keyboard. This worked last week but today it's not working. It's the same Milestones software I've been using for months. Any ideas?

Answer:

Some video drivers, notably Nvidia, take over this keystroke combination, apparently for rotating the screen. It might be possible to change the setting in the video driver.

Here's a quick refresher on repositioning symbol text and dates:

Move symbol text with the keyboard:

Select the symbol.
While holding down the ALT key, use the keyboard arrow keys (left, right, up down) to reposition the text.

Move symbol date with the keyboard:

Select the symbol.
While holding down the CTRL and ALT keys, use the keyboard arrow keys (left, right, up down) to reposition the text.
