Gridlines only change for title rows

Sounds like the schedule is set up do grid lines based on outline level like this one:

Adjust shading, gridlines and titles based on outline level:

1. On the Format tab, choose Gridlines | Gridlines, Shading, Font Size by Outline level.
2. For Outline level, choose the level to change.
3. Automatically Apply Outline level properties while editing schedule.
4. Apply New Grid/Shade Selections to all Three Sections.
5. On the Gridlines tab, make changes.
6. Click OK.

Remove outline shading:

1. On the Format tab, choose Gridlines | Gridlines, Shading, Font Size by Outline level.
2. Click Remove Overrides for all levels.
